Fall Cleaning

Hi Everyone,

Taking a break to get the house in order. Yes fall cleaning and painting. Well I'm not doing the painting Chuck is. And he has been painting since labor day on the weekends. I'm happy that the living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and family room are done. 2 more rooms and he'll be finished the painting. I've been looking for new drapes which I just found and to redecorate the bathroom. It's coming along nicely. I started by doing all the closets, no not at once. One each week then I moved onto the dresser drawers and hutch. Now it's time to do the hope chest. You don't have to be overwhelmed, just pace yourself and make a plan and commit. If you're closet is a huge mess then break it down in doable sections - hanging, shoes, shelves. Trust me you'll be glad to have it finally done and reap the benefits. It's a perfect time to donate unwanted items, they're are a lot of people that could use the things that are just taking up space and you no longer need.

I've taken off a month and need maybe another 2 weeks to finish up around the house. It's time to make my life simpler and less for me to take care of. I'm so happy with what we've been doing. I've always been organized but I really have stepped up my game. I've made things easier to reach and for me to deal with.

Did you know that it's only 81 days until Christmas? I know!!! But I've been busy on that front also. I only have 3 more kids gifts to buy and pay for. No holiday debt for me. I've been trying to get a gift a week and pay for it. I'm always done by the end of October and this year will be no different. I also made alot of gifts this year. I love handmade gifts so I thought it would be perfect to make things this year. Of course I've started back in March and think I'm in pretty good shape. I'll go over the list one more time to make sure I have everyone covered. It just takes a little planning and it really isn't that hard. You still have plenty of time to get that gift made. Don't think to long and get started.

Leave me a message and let me know what you've been up to. Would love to hear from you.

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoy the last of summer. I can't believe Labor day is this weekend. I don't want summer to be over but hopefully we'll have nice weather for a few more weeks. We have plans with good friends of ours and I'm so looking forward to a nice relaxing day catching up.

I had fun makings these books for some gifts. They're just so easy to whip up. I needed a few gifts for some special friends.
I'm hoping to finish up the last card set I need for a Christmas gift and I want do another to keep on hand just incase I need a last minute gift. It's always nice to have a few extra things on hand. I addressed my envelopes for my Christmas cards at the doctors office the other day. Just need a few new addresses and I'm set on them. I try and use my time wisely. I always enjoy the holidays and am not stressed.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Something For Me

Hello, hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Been a busy crafting bee. I have the 50th anniversary album just about done, only need to complete the front page. Yeah! Finished up housewarming cards for a gift basket. Have some fall card bases started and worked on a gift for Christmas. I still have one project to do and I'm done making all my gifts. Yes I'm that organized.
I actually worked on this darling little book for me. I wanted something I could keep all my projects in and track. I found this book in the $ bin and thought it would be perfect to altered. I used this cute pencil jar by Lockhart and Cosmo Cricket paper. Don't you just love their papers.
I can't believe it's the 3rd week of August. It's going by too fast. Hope you have a great weekend.

Enjoying Summer!

Hello, Sorry nothing new to post. Not that I haven't been creating like crazy. I've finished the card sets I need for Christmas gifts except for one. I wasn't sure what I was doing but now that I know I can get that done. I've actually been working on a beach album of our trip to North Carolina from two years ago. It's coming together nicely and I can't wait to finish it. I also did 2 baby albums. I worked on some cards that I didn't take photos of. I know, I know!!! I did some of those fun note pads. I also did a major cleaning out of my studio and am glad to have that done. It's nice to be reminded of the tons of stuff you have to use and purge the stuff you know you'll never use. Remember you can always donate some of you craft supplies to a kindergarten teacher. They love to get supplies to use. I'll have to work on taking some photos of the beach pages and get them posted.

I've also been enjoying the summer. I have the windows opened so much this summer and lovin' it. It's hard to believe it's already August. I want the rest of the summer to slow down. We have enjoyed so many dinners outside on our deck. It's just been a relaxing and great summer. Chuck has really been working on the outside this summer and the house is looking great. It's good to finally get these things done. We're taking my niece and nephew to the Herr's potato chip tour this coming week. We've never been so we are all excited about that adventure.

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are. Drop me a note of what you've been up to this summer. Have a great weekend!

Recipe Cards

Good Morning! Well it's beautiful here again today although they're calling for rain on Friday. We haven't had a good full week of sunshine yet but I'm so grateful for the last 4 days. It's not too hot and just gorgeous.

Sorry for not having the greatest photo. I needed a thank you gift and she had ask me for some recipe cards so that was perfect. Here is a sampling of a few of them. I did put lines on the back and computer generated my lines. I don't own a recipe stamp. I used Lockhart let's get cookin' verse on the back to add a little something. Her kitchen is in yellow and blue so these will match perfectly.

Just about done the baby album and not in a hurry for it so I have a few finishing touches but will do that later. I decided I was going to work on my beach album. I pulled everything out and I'm ready to get started once I get done this post. I'm so excited to be working on something that I can keep for myself. Then it's my Disney album and I have lots of ideas in my head for it.

I was using my cuttlebug and it has never had great suction so Chuck thought maybe cleaning the bottom would help it. He lifted it up and the entire bottom just fell off. He thought he could just screw it on and said no way with all the gears. He is very handy! I called provocraft and they had me mail it back at my cost and they're sending me a new one. That is great service and so much cheaper than buying one. I will be without it for about 2 weeks but since I was in the middle of 2 projects Cheryl lent me hers for a few days and really save the day. Thanks girlfriend! :) Just thought you might need to know if you have a problem to contact the manufacturer. Sometimes you get a good company that stands behind their products.

Hope you have a great day. Later....

It's Not BROKEN!

OK no new photo but just an update. My toe isn't broken but he said I really jammed it. It will be a few weeks of healing yet. I had to buy my first pair of flip flops because I can't get a shoe on. So it's flip flops for a couple of weeks. Haven't felt well enough to do any creating but hoping to get back to things next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Later....

Birthday Card

Hello, just thought I share a birthday card I made for my stash for next year. I just got this cute stamp for $1 from Michael's. Just love it and my friend Cindy sent me a bunch of these beautiful butterflies. I used PTI brown c/s and american craft ribbon. It matched my c/s perfectly. I like making my own background paper with this stamp. I'll be making a few more of these to have on hand.

Hope you have a great day. Later....
